The Executive Secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Sharon Ikeazor, wishes to inform the general public of the commencement of the verification exercise of ex-workers of Savannah Sugar Company from Monday February 4th – Wednesday February 13th, 2019. This exercise will hold at

Lelewal Hotels, 24, Galadima Aminu Way, Jimeta Yola South Jimeta – Yola, Adamawa State

The exercise is in furtherance of the President’s commitment to improve the welfare of all Nigerian pensioners, especially those neglected by previous administrations.

All eligible ex-workers of Savannah Sugar Company are required to present the originals and the photocopies of the following documents for the verification:

  1. Letter of First Appointment into Savannah Sugar.
  2. Letter of Last Promotion or salary increase/upgrade.
  3. Letter of disengagement/evidence of payment by BPE
  4. Bank Statement (1 month)
  5. BVN Slip with clear picture (stamped and signed by the bank)
  6. Valid means of Identification (Driving License, Int’l Passport, National ID Card or Voters Registration Card).
  7. 1 colored passport photograph

For NOK to Claim Benefits (in addition to the deceased documents)

  1. Death Certificate of the Deceased from a Government hospital or National Population Commission.
  2. Letter of Administration from High Court.
  3. Single/Joint Application by the NOK(s); as listed on the Letter of Administration.
  4. Marriage Certificate (for Spouses).
  5. Duly signed and stamped NUBAN Joint Bank Account Statement of the NOK(s), with Bank Logo. (1 month)
  6. BVN Registration Slip with clear picture (stamped and signed by the bank).
  7. 1 colored Passport Photograph for each NOK.
  8. Valid means of Identification (Driving License, Int’l Passport, National ID Card or Voters Registration Card).

Please note that this verification is ONLY for ex-workers of Savannah Sugar Company who were disengaged in 2002, following the privatization of the company.

The Directorate’s preparation for the verification of all other treasury funded parastatals, including defunct/privatised agencies, has been completed and will commence shortly across the country.
