PTAD ADDS 717 VERIFIED PARASTATALS PENSIONERS TO PAYROLL
639 Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and 78 NDA (Civilian) pensioners have been added to the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) payroll and paid their April 2018 monthly pensions.
639 Federal Housing Authority (FHA) pensioners were paid a total of N11, 954, 362.31 while 78 NDA (Civilian) pensioners were paid a total of N1, 940,511.63.
This new batch of enrollees were verified by the Directorate during a validation exercise which was held across the country’s Six (6) geopolitical zones in Q4 2017 towards sustaining a comprehensive and credible database of pensioners domiciled at the directorate.
It will be recalled that the Executive Secretary, Sharon Ikeazor had assured pensioners that their entitlements will be computed and they would be enrolled to receive monthly pension payments even as approval is been sought to clear all arrears for pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).
The Parastatals Pension Department (PaPD) started verification of defunct and privatised agencies in Q4 2017, with the verification of Federal Housing Authority (FHA), New Nigerian Newspapers (NNN), NICON, Nigerian-Re and Delta Steel Company (DSC) pensioners across the country. In Q1 2018, pensioners from the Nigerian Telecommunications Limited, NITEL and its subsidiary, Mobile Telecommunications Limited, MTEL, were verified and the computation of their benefits is ongoing.
