PTAD ANNOUNCES THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE VERIFICATION EXERCISE OF EX-WORKERS OF SAVANNAH SUGAR COMPANY
The Executive Secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Sharon Ikeazor, wishes to inform the general public of the commencement of the verification exercise of ex-workers of Savannah Sugar Company from Monday February 4th – Wednesday February 13th, 2019. This exercise will hold at
Lelewal Hotels, 24, Galadima Aminu Way, Jimeta Yola South Jimeta – Yola, Adamawa State
The exercise is in furtherance of the President’s commitment to improve the welfare of all Nigerian pensioners, especially those neglected by previous administrations.
All eligible ex-workers of Savannah Sugar Company are required to present the originals and the photocopies of the following documents for the verification:
- Letter of First Appointment into Savannah Sugar.
- Letter of Last Promotion or salary increase/upgrade.
- Letter of disengagement/evidence of payment by BPE
- Bank Statement (1 month)
- BVN Slip with clear picture (stamped and signed by the bank)
- Valid means of Identification (Driving License, Int’l Passport, National ID Card or Voters Registration Card).
- 1 colored passport photograph
For NOK to Claim Benefits (in addition to the deceased documents)
- Death Certificate of the Deceased from a Government hospital or National Population Commission.
- Letter of Administration from High Court.
- Single/Joint Application by the NOK(s); as listed on the Letter of Administration.
- Marriage Certificate (for Spouses).
- Duly signed and stamped NUBAN Joint Bank Account Statement of the NOK(s), with Bank Logo. (1 month)
- BVN Registration Slip with clear picture (stamped and signed by the bank).
- 1 colored Passport Photograph for each NOK.
- Valid means of Identification (Driving License, Int’l Passport, National ID Card or Voters Registration Card).
Please note that this verification is ONLY for ex-workers of Savannah Sugar Company who were disengaged in 2002, following the privatization of the company.
The Directorate’s preparation for the verification of all other treasury funded parastatals, including defunct/privatised agencies, has been completed and will commence shortly across the country.
