Celebrating Customer Service Week draws our attention to the importance of customer service and the people who provide it, the need to boost morale and teamwork, reward employees for the significant work they do and raise awareness of the value of customer service.

This was contained in the speech delivered by the Executive Secretary, Dr Chioma Ejikeme to flag-off the 2022 Customer Service Week. She also said “We want our pensioners to trust us and be rest assured that PTAD, in addition to working assiduously to ensure that their monthly pensions and other retirement benefits due to them are paid as and when due, is committed to their overall welfare.”

Among other senior PTAD officers present at the event were Mr Sani Mustapha Director Corporate Services Department (CSD) who represented the E.S.; Mr Sulayman Shelleng, Director Civil Service Pension Department (CSPD); Mrs Nneka Obiamalu, Director Pensioner Support Services Department (PSSD) and Mr Abdallah Abubakar, Director Customs, Immigration and Prisons Pension Department (CIPPD).

During her presentation, the National Co-Ordinator and Chief Executive Officer, SERVICOM Office, Nnenna Akajemeli, commended PTAD for the services rendered to pensioners which has resulted in a significant drop in the volume of complaints.

This commendation was echoed by Mrs Sarah Adeniran from the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) and Mr Thompson Ngere, a Civil Service pensioner who spoke on behalf of other pensioners present at the flag-off.

Other activities scheduled for the week in line with the theme “Celebrate Service”, includes different subjects on service to be presented by the Operational Departments.
